The Brief.

Enterprise Ireland aims to build a roadmap for success for Irish companies in the Asia Pacific region. They have a strong capability in the Travel Tech sector and wanted to understand not only what the opportunity was for these companies in APAC but also to find a way to connect Irish firms with the key decision makers within the APAC Aviation sector.

The Solution.

Asia Market Entry helped facilitate Enterprise Ireland’s outreach activities as part of a wider market mapping initiative. We approached contacts on behalf of Enterprise Ireland aiming to understand if they were looking to implement, switch or upgrade their Travel Tech across categories such as:

  • Passenger reservations and service systems

  • eCommerce/Retail systems

  • Revenue Management System (RMS)

  • Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

Benefit Delivered.

Our project together meant that over a period of only three months we were able to identify the key opportunities in the market and engage key contacts. This contributed to more than 15 airline executives travelling from Asia to attend the Enterprise Ireland “Ambition Asia Pacific” event in Ireland ready to do business. We also provided a market mapping report that was presented to Irish Travel Tech firms in Dublin mapping out all the relevant opportunities available to them in Asia.
