FAQ

1. What is The Workshop?

The Workshop is a free, 1-hour, 1-on-1 strategy session designed to help your company overcome revenue growth challenges and explore expansion opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. It’s in partnership with the Singapore EDB and delivered by Asia Market Entry.

2. Is it online or in-person?

The Workshop is online by default, using Zoom and Miro for real-time collaboration. In-person sessions are possible on request, but all participants must still bring laptops to access Miro, which is essential to the format.

3. Who should attend?

We recommend 2–3 senior leaders join the session, ideally founders, CEOs, or heads of Sales, Marketing, or Partnerships. While we can run it with just one person, multi-perspective input makes for a stronger outcome.

4. What happens before the workshop?

You’ll start with a 15-minute pre-call (bookable online here) to align on goals, discuss your business context, and set expectations. After this, we’ll schedule the full workshop separately and send you a workshop overview and company info to share with colleagues.

5. What do I get after the session?

You’ll receive a 8-12 page strategic text outlining your company’s APAC challenges, key priorities, actionable next steps, and recommendations on market validation, partnerships, sales strategy, and more.

6. Why does Singapore EDB offer this?

The Singapore EDB’s goal is to help global companies use Singapore as a regional HQ and create jobs locally. To be able to assist companies of all sizes, the Singapore EDB have appointed 6 expert partners — including AME - to deliver focused support in areas like talent, banking, company formation and market expansion.

7. Does Asia Market Entry get paid for this?

No - AME doesn’t receive payment to run these sessions. We do it because we value our partnership with the Singapore EDB, enjoy supporting companies, and in doing so, often uncover mutual opportunities to work together that may lead to a commercial engagement between our companies.

8. Do you have examples or case studies?

Yes - over 500 companies have participated. For example, Coval Technologies used The Workshop to completely reshape its regional distributor strategy. We also have testimonials from clients like SoftBank, Bluecrux, SparkleHaze, and many more praising the impact of the session.
